JSON TO CSV

ABOUT

About jsontocsvexcel.com

Our Mission

We built jsontocsvexcel.com with a simple goal: to provide the fastest, cleanest, and most privacy-respecting JSON to CSV converter on the web. No ads, no sign-ups, no data collection — just a tool that works exactly when you need it.

Why We Built This

As developers and data professionals ourselves, we were frustrated with existing JSON to CSV converters. Most of them are either bloated with advertisements, require unnecessary account registration, silently upload your data to remote servers, or simply fail on nested JSON structures. We wanted something better.

jsontocsvexcel.com was designed from the ground up to handle real-world JSON data — deeply nested objects, arrays within arrays, JSON Lines (NDJSON), wrapped API responses — and produce clean, properly formatted CSV output that opens perfectly in Excel, Google Sheets, and any other spreadsheet application.

Privacy First

Every conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your JSON data never leaves your device — there is no backend server processing, no temporary file storage, and no data logging. This makes our tool safe for converting confidential datasets, proprietary API responses, and production data without any security concerns.

Key Features

  • Deep Nested Flattening — Recursively unrolls nested objects and arrays into flat CSV rows
  • JSON Lines / NDJSON — Automatically detects and parses newline-delimited JSON
  • API Response Unwrapping — Handles wrapped responses with root keys like "data" or "results"
  • Excel UTF-8 BOM — Ensures international characters display correctly in Excel
  • Flexible Delimiters — Comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe separators
  • Multiple Export Formats — Download as .csv, .tsv, or copy to clipboard
  • 100% Client-Side — No server uploads, complete privacy

Who It's For

Our converter is designed for anyone who works with structured data:

  • Developers — Quickly inspect API payloads in a tabular view
  • Data Analysts — Prepare JSON datasets for Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools
  • DevOps Engineers — Parse NDJSON log exports from Elasticsearch or CloudWatch
  • Product Managers & QA — Convert test fixture data into spreadsheets for review
